Instructions:

Prepare the Batter:
In a large mixing bowl, combine kefir and baking powder. Beat until well mixed.
Add eggs, melted butter, and sugar to the mixture. Continue beating until smooth.
Incorporate Flour:
Gradually sift in the flour into the bowl. Mix until the batter is thoroughly combined and smooth.
Prepare the Cake:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Grease a cake mold with butter or oil. Pour the prepared cake batter into the mold, ensuring it’s evenly distributed.
Add Toppings:
Brush the surface of the cake batter with egg yolk.
Sprinkle walnuts generously over the top.
Bake:
Place the cake mold into the preheated oven.
Bake for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
