Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pan:
    • Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal later.
  2. Melt the Butter and Peanut Butter:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl or on the stovetop, melt the peanut butter and butter together until smooth. If using a microwave, heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until fully melted. If using the stovetop, melt over low heat and stir until smooth. Be careful not to overheat.
  3. Add the Vanilla and Salt:
    • Stir in the vanilla extract and salt into the melted peanut butter mixture.
  4. Incorporate the Powdered Sugar:
    • Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. The mixture will become very thick and might be difficult to stir. You can use a hand mixer or stand mixer with a paddle attachment to make this process easier.
  5. Optional: Add Chopped Peanuts:
    • If you want to add some crunch and texture to your fudge, fold in the chopped peanuts at this stage.
  6. Transfer to the Pan:
    • Spread the peanut butter fudge mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan. You can use a spatula to smooth the top.
  7. Chill the Fudge:
    • Place the pan in the refrigerator and let the fudge set for at least 2-3 hours, or until it’s firm.
  8. Cut into Squares:
    • Once the fudge has hardened, use the parchment paper overhangs to lift it out of the pan. Place it on a cutting board and use a sharp knife to cut it into small squares or rectangles.
  9. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Your homemade peanut butter fudge is now ready to be enjoyed! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep them fresh.

This peanut butter fudge is rich, creamy, and perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth. Enjoy!
