Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (85% lean)
1/2 cup almond flour
1 large egg
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup beef broth (low sodium)
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 medium onion, sliced
8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, almond flour, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
3. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook until each side is nicely browned, about 4 minutes per side. Remove the patties and set aside.
5. In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and mushrooms, and sauté until they are soft and golden, about 5 minutes.
6. Place the patties back in the skillet with the onions and mushrooms. Pour the beef broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce over the top.
7. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the patties and vegetables.
8. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

9. Remove from oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Variations & Tips
For a different twist on this recipe, try substituting ground turkey or chicken for the beef to lighten it up. If you’re not strictly low-carb, mixing some cooked brown rice or quinoa in with the meat mixture can add a nice texture and stretch the servings. Spice lovers might enjoy adding a dash of cayenne pepper or diced jalapeños to the meat mixture for an extra kick.
