1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

2 large eggs

1/4 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, for frying

Maple syrup or powdered sugar, for serving

Instructions

Prepare the bread:

Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread.

Prepare the filling:

In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, granulated sugar and ground cinnamon to form a paste.

Fill and roll the bread:

Spread a thin layer of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on each flattened slice of bread. Roll the bread up tightly, pressing the seam to seal.

Prepare the egg mixture:

In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk and vanilla extract.

Coat the rolls:

Dip each piece of rolled bread into the egg mixture, making sure it is completely coated.

Bake the buns:

Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Place rolls, seam side down, in skillet and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 2 to 3 minutes per side.

Serve:

Serve the cinnamon rolls warm, drizzled with maple syrup or dusted with icing sugar.Cream Cheese Filling Variations :

Add a layer of sweetened cream cheese to the bread before adding the cinnamon-sugar mixture for a richer, tangy flavor.

Nut Delight:

Sprinkle finely chopped nuts, such as pecans or walnuts, over the cinnamon-sugar mixture before rolling up the bread.

Fruit-filled buns:

Add a layer of fruit jam or slices of fresh fruit, such as strawberries or apples, to the bread before rolling it up.

Chocolate Cinnamon Rolls:

Sprinkle mini chocolate chips over the cinnamon-sugar mixture for a chocolatey touch.
