Heat the oven to the desired temperature and have the baking dish ready. Set your oven to a temperature of 350°F (175°C) and thoroughly coat a spacious baking dish with butter or cooking spray. Place a layer of parchment paper at the bottom of the dish, ensuring that it extends beyond the edges to facilitate simple removal after the baking is complete.
Combine and heat the butter and chocolate until they become liquid. Place the butter and chopped dark chocolate in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir regularly until they melt and form a homogeneous mixture. Take the pot off the heat and let the mixture to cool down a little.
Combine the Ingredients: In a spacious mixing basin, vigorously blend the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla essence until a homogeneous and cohesive mixture is achieved. Slowly drizzle the liquefied chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring constantly until the batter has a smooth and consistent appearance.

Prepare and cook the cake: Transfer the mixture onto the prepared baking dish, ensuring a uniform distribution using a spatula. Lightly tap the dish on the countertop to expel any trapped air bubbles. Position the dish in the oven that has been warmed and cook for a duration of 25-30 minutes, or until the sides are firm but the center retains a tiny wobble.
