Explore the wonder of a banana cake that is easy to make and incredibly tasty. This recipe turns ripe bananas into a sweet topping that goes well with a soft cake. With only a few simple ingredients and little preparation time, this cake is great for any event. Whether you’re new to baking or have a lot of experience, you will love this recipe.

List of ingredients:

For the Dessert:

1 egg

60 grams of sugar, which is equivalent to 6 tablespoons.

130 milliliters of milk

2 grams of salt, which is equivalent to half a teaspoon.

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

150 grams of cake flour or all-purpose flour, which is equivalent to 1 1/4 cups.

5 grams of baking powder, which is equivalent to 2/3 of a tablespoon.

50 milliliters of vegetable oil

For the topping:

10 grams of butter without salt

15 grams of raw or regular sugar, which is equivalent to 1 and a half tablespoons.

2 ready bananas

Directions:

1. Make the topping:

In a small non-stick pan, melt the butter over low heat.

Add the raw sugar or regular sugar and mix until it starts to dissolve and create a light caramel. This will take around 5 minutes.

Cut the bananas into slices and place them in a single layer on top of the sugar that has been caramelized. Let them cook slowly for a few minutes until they become soft and slightly brown.

2. Prepare the cake mixture:

In a bowl, mix the egg and sugar until they become light and frothy.

Put the milk, salt, and vanilla extract together and mix until everything is well mixed.

Mix the flour and baking powder together, then carefully mix them into the wet ingredients until just mixed.

Mix the vegetable oil until the batter is smooth.

Put together and bake.

Gently pour the cake mixture over the cooked bananas in the pan, making sure it covers them evenly.

Put a lid on the pan and cook on low heat for around 25 minutes. This gentle heat helps the cake cook evenly without the bottom getting burnt.

After 25 minutes, test the cake by sticking a toothpick in the middle. If the cake comes out clean, it is ready. If not, keep cooking for 5 more minutes.

Chill and then serve.

After baking the cake, take the pan off the stove and allow it to cool for a few minutes.

Gently turn the pan over onto a plate to remove the cake, so the banana topping is visible on top.

Serve it hot or at room temperature. This cake is delicious by itself or with some whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Cooking Advice:

Use very ripe bananas for the best taste and texture. They will turn a nice golden color and give the cake a deliciously sweet taste.

Cooking the cake on low heat is very important to make sure it cooks evenly and doesn’t get burnt. Being patient is very important for this recipe.

Use a pan that doesn’t stick to make it easier to flip the cake and prevent the bananas from sticking.
